Join us to celebrate the International Day of Dance on the streets of Liverpool

Come and take part in our flashmob in Liverpool on Sunday 29th April

We will be holding our next flashmob this 29th April to coincide with the International Day of Dance.

We just set up a speaker and dance for an hour: it’s all very informal. It’s covered so we’re ok if it rains but remember the floor isn’t as smooth as usual so we don’t recommend your best shoes!

We’ll also be handing out a few fliers about our classes and milongas to any interested passers by who would like to know more about tango.

When?:  1pm – 2pm, Sunday 29th April

Where?: LiverpoolOne at Keys Court (between Hotel Chocolat, Next and Kiehl)

Who?: anyone interested in tango who can dance a few steps or would like to watch us! For more information, give Helen a call on 074434 66952

Live tango in Liverpool this May!

1st March 2018
Come to our milonga and workshops this May with live music

The fabulous trio Los Milonguitas comes back to Liverpool to play at our monthly milonga after their big success last year.

The event will take place in the beautiful Ullet Road Unitarian Church hall on Friday evening 18th May 2018 (from 19:00 to 23:30; £16.00). Diego Doigneau, an Argentine DJ based in London, will be providing the music in between the live sets to keep everyone dancing all night.

There is more: on Saturday 19th May 2018, they will offer two different musicality workshops on Musical elements in tango (£12.00 for each workshop). Those workshops will take place in the Holy Trinity Church Hall (junction of Church Road and Woolton Road, L15 9EQ). The morning workshop (10:30 to 12:30) will cover “Musical Elements in Tango: Accompanying models: the Marcato” and the afternoon one (13:30 to 15:30) “Musical Elements in Tango: the Melody: legato and rhythmical phrases”.

You will need to buy a ticket in advance so please visit our Eventbrite page for more information and to book your ticket:

New website and past events

18th August 2017 News about our website and some great events we’ve had this year

Hello, and welcome to our new website! Please keep checking our blog section for news about what we’re up to. Alternatively, drop us an email and we can add you to our newsletter list.

For now we will leave you with a taster of special events that we’ve had so far in 2017:

  1. Flashmobs: We have hit the streets of Liverpool twice in 2017. You can see us dancing with The Beatles at the pierhead on the photo above.. we will be organising a autumnal date so stay tuned for more information!
  2. Special May milonga with Los Milonguitas: an Argentina tango trio of musicians came to play at a special live music milonga we had in May. The event was a real success, and we hope to organise something equal if not better next year!
  3. Workshop with a guest teacher: in August we had a special one-off workshop with another local teacher, Ali Vale.

We’re looking forward to starting classes again on Tuesday 5th September. Hope to see you there!
